Digital hospital design

The Government’s plan to build 40+ new hospitals across England in the coming years will provide those Trusts selected to be part of the scheme a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to do something very special.
The NHP (New Hospital Programme) team are seeking to achieve a level of standardisation across the Trusts involved in the areas of construction, sustainability and Digital Transformation.
Spanswick has developed a strong understanding of the central team’s plans, approach, recommendations and assessment process, to help Trusts to navigate the complex journey that lies ahead.

The path to a new hospital is an iterative process and Spanswick can aid that process end to end.  The successful delivery of digital plans for a new hospital requires work to be completed in two parts:
  • The building of the digital plans in support of the business case process which is robust from the start, based on extensive stakeholder engagement and which ensures the outcome of a digitally advanced hospital that is affordable.
  • Evidencing against NHP guidance that demonstrates the process followed to arrive at a digital plan is based on a complete and best-practice aligned process, and which ultimately achieves a green rating from the NHP team (necessary for FBC sign-off).
